These Blandford books were a great resource on uniforms. Their compact format allowed you to tuck one into your bag or briefcase for travel reading. Jack Cassin Scott was the author and artist for this volume. A highly talented artist and model maker, his drawings were very evocative of the era, if somewhat stylised. The uniforms illustrated here cover a broad sweep of the range, allowing one to visualise the standardisation and gradual evolution throughout the colourful Napoleonic period.
